Testimonials
From Dr. Katie Hartmann, school psychologist: “Few speech-language pathologists whom I have worked with achieve the sincerity and depth of caring that I have seen from Kaiting Bronson. Kaiting takes time to get to know each of her clients, and she uses information about their personality, culture, and interests to design customized sessions. Students are engaged to the extent that they feel like they are playing fun games rather than merely participating in therapy.
In the event that students do not make expected progress, I have observed Kaiting think deeply and make tweaks to her sessions until children respond to the intervention. Not only does she want to see students make progress in the session, but she follows up with parents and teachers to make sure that kids improve their speech at home, school, and the community.I cannot say enough positive things about Kaiting and encourage potential clients to seek opportunities to work with her.”
From Ana Martines, Mother: “I like how she played in the therapy sessions with my son. She’s a good person and my son enjoyed his therapy sessions with her too.”
From Milka Cruz, Mother: “She is very good. Because of her I have a little parakeet in my house. Her therapy works like magic and she is a wonderful person. Because of this my son has never forgotten her.”
From Vina Ortiz, Mother: “Our daughter, Dia, was diagnosed with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss shortly after birth, and wears hearing aids. In addition, we speak to her in Mandarin and Spanish at home, and she learns English at daycare. We found that the speech therapists with Early Intervention weren’t able to accurately assess her needs and progress, and finding Kaiting was like discovering a unicorn! Not only did Kaiting’s language skills support our daughter’s particular learning environment, but her approach to our daughter’s needs was thoughtful, un-hurried and personal. She spent time getting to know us and how we raise her, and got to know Dia’s personality as well. The therapy treatments she used were engaging and enjoyable for Dia, perfectly meeting the learning needs of a 1.5 year old and taking into account her interests, and she warmed up to Kaiting immediately. Our sessions were always fun for Dia, and informative for us. As parents, we were giving the skills needed to continue therapy with her on our own between sessions. Even after “graduating” from a particular set of therapy, Kaiting left us with ways to continue encouraging Dia’s development. When we did our next speech assessment with Early Intervention, we were told that in some areas, Dia was much farther ahead than expected. If you’re a parent considering speech therapy for your child, I would highly recommend Kaiting Bronson!”
From Mother of Patient: “Our daughter’s speech has exploded in both English and Spanish. She’s also much more confident in trying to speak, and she’s excited to try new words. She beams with pride, and she’s much less frustrated than she was previously. She’s by no means perfect, but for the first time, we’re seeing a real and steady improvement that is uplifting for both her and us as her parents.
Seeing her connect two and three-word phrases has been really fun, because it has allowed her to interact more with her brother and with us. She most recently has been saying “no thank you” to just about anything, and it’s fun and adorable. We’ll say it’s time for bed, and she’ll run away saying “no thank you.” It just cracks us up, and she knows it— her improved speech has allowed her to express herself and reveal her personality more, which is quite feisty it seems. Kaiting is flexible, caring, creative, responsive and multilingual. Most of all, she was incredibly effective in reaching our child and getting her excited about expressing herself. I also felt that the evaluation was thorough, and her place on the “curve” of language acquisition was explained very clearly to us. I knew where we were starting, I had an idea of where we wanted to be and the milestones along the way. Most importantly, she gave us tools to work with Emma at home. And they were simple. They didn’t feel like work, they easily integrated into our lives, but they made a real and tangible difference in how we interacted with our daughter and how she responded to us. Moreover, for anyone in a bilingual household, I can’t emphasize enough how wonderful it is to have someone be able to communicate in both language or even understand the nuances of children being raised in a multilingual household. What I found most helpful, was that we were instructed, very simply on how to engage her more when speaking— how to encourage two-word phrases, how to use Hand motions to show “give me” or other things that aren’t difficult for us to try and model at home. I also appreciated that she would text me a question prior to a less to gauge how she was doing and where we were.
These therapy sessions were really clear and effective. The communication style between us (parent and therapist) as well as with our daughter was easy and natural.
From Juanita, Mother: “Before starting therapy for my son, I was a little nervous on how it would go. It was a whole new experience for my son and I. But meeting and working with Kaiting has been amazing!
She has so much patience with him and works at his pace. When it comes to his day of therapy Jr. is excited to work with Kaiting. I have seen so much improvement in my son. He tries to pronounce the words and is more social ever since they started working together. She works with Jr in a fun way that gets him interested in learning. I can honestly say Jr and I are very happy working with her. Kaiting Bronson is an amazing therapist!”
Anonymous feedback from attendee of “Nonstandardized Tele-assessment Methods for Diagnosing Language Disorders”: “I had an idea of what I wanted to do based on my experience conducting informal assessments but wasn’t too sure how it would look like until you provided examples of what each strategy looks like. I loved the sample evaluation report excerpts and any mention of what the research says! I would recommend so others can learn the different tools that they can start applying whether conducting a tele-assessment or not. Great info.”
From Clavel Gomez, Mother: “Thank you for helping Adner so much. He really clicked with you a lot and he has flourished. Now when people hear him talk, they are surprised to learn that he has social skill struggles.”
