• What is Teletherapy?
    Teletherapy is using telecommunications technology to provide and receive speech and language therapy services. I use video services such as Skype, G-Chat, FaceTime (and can use others per request) to deliver services. Due to corporate speech pathology not being a medical condition, these aforementioned video applications are not HIPPA-compliant. I do this for the convenience factor.

  • What are the Benefits of Teletherapy?
    Teletherapy increases convenience by reducing the travel time and gas costs. I realize that many of my corporate speech pathology clients may have frequent business trips or have to sit through rush hour traffic. Furthermore, I understand that cancellations may need to happen due to illness (yourself or your family). With teletherapy, you may still be able participate from the most comfortable location for you.

What is the efficacy of teletherapy vs. face-to-face therapy?
It is of utmost importance that all speech-language pathologists provide an equal, high standard for treatment regardless of the setting. Research findings have shown that teletherapy and face-to-face therapy resulted in equal efficacies.

Note: Therapy sessions can be a mix of teletherapy and face-to-face services at your request.
